How to Link Accounts #

Account linking in Pragma Connect enables players to connect multiple platform accounts (Steam, Discord, etc.) to a single Pragma account, providing seamless cross-platform play and progress synchronization.

Pragma supports the following identity providers for player linking:

+ Epic
+ PlayStation
+ Xbox
+ Twitch
+ Discord 
+ Google

Prerequisites #

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • Identity providers properly configured in your dashboard
  • Valid accounts on the platforms you want to link (Steam, Discord, etc.)
  • Access to the Pragma Player Portal (at https://social.<game-title>.<studio-title>.cloud.pragmaengine.com)

Understanding Account Linking #

Account linking in Pragma Connect allows you to:

  • Maintain a unified player identity across multiple platforms
  • Enable cross-platform progression and data sharing
  • Simplify player authentication through multiple identity providers
  • Support cross-play functionality between different gaming platforms

Step-by-Step Linking Process #

Step 1: Access the Pragma Player Portal #

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to your Pragma Player Portal URL: https://social.<game-title>.<studio-title>.cloud.pragmaengine.com

  2. Sign in using your primary account

Step 2: View Current Identity Providers #

In the Linked Accounts tab, you’ll see:

  • Linked Accounts section showing currently linked accounts
  • Available platforms for linking (Steam, Discord, etc.)
  • Current authentication status for each provider

To link a new platform account:

  1. Identify Available Providers: Look for platforms that show “Connect” or “Link” options
  2. Click the Connect Button: Select the platform you want to link (e.g., Steam, Discord)
  3. Complete Platform Authentication:
    • You’ll be redirected to the platform’s login page
    • Enter your credentials for that platform
    • Authorize the connection when prompted
  4. Return to Portal: After successful authentication, you’ll be redirected back to the Pragma Player Portal
  5. Verify Connection: Confirm that the new platform appears in your Identity Providers section

Step 4: Verify Successful Linking #

After linking, verify the connection by checking:

  • The linked platform appears in your Linked Accounts section
  • Your display name may update to reflect the linked account

Unlinking Accounts #

To unlink a platform account:

  1. Navigate to your account details in the portal
  2. Find the platform you want to unlink in the Identity Providers section
  3. Click Disconnect or Unlink next to the platform
  4. Confirm the disconnection when prompted
  5. Verify the platform is removed from your linked accounts
